- Contact your bank immediately if you’ve transferred money or your account has been accessed.
- Make sure you gather as much information as possible: who you were dealing with, how you paid (bank transfer, card payment, etc.), what details you gave out, etc. Citizens Advice+1

For England, Wales and Northern Ireland:
- Use the national reporting centre: Action Fraud. You can report online or by telephone on 0300 123 2040. police.uk+2Action Fraud+2

For Scotland:
